Can a Pawn promote to a second King?

No. When a Pawn reaches the opponent’s baseline, it can be promoted to a Queen, Rook, Bishop, or Knight. However, the rules of Chess dictate that each player can only have one King at any time.

What happens if I don’t move out of "Check"?

Escaping a "Check" is mandatory. If your King is under attack, your next move must involve moving the King, blocking the attack, or capturing the piece that is delivering the check. The game system will prevent you from making any "illegal" moves that leave your King in danger.

How does the matchmaking work?

What exactly is a Stalemate?

A Stalemate is a form of a Draw. It occurs when the player whose turn it is has no legal moves and their King is not in check. Since they cannot move but aren’t technically "beaten," the game ends in a tie. Mastering how to avoid (or force!) a stalemate is a sign of a high-level player.
