A wall can only be pushed if there is empty space directly behind it. If it's backed up against another solid object, it won't move. You might need to move your other character out of the way, or try pushing it from a different angle.

If you block yourself into a corner, just use the Undo function (press Z or U) to rewind your previous steps and rethink your strategy. You can spam undo as much as you want to get back to a safe state.

Are there any general tips for winning?

Look at the big picture first—spot where each character needs to go and which walls are pushable. Don't try to solve it all at once; move one character to a key tactical spot, then swap. Use the undo button liberally when you mess up. Think very carefully before pushing a wall, as a wrong push can permanently block your path.
