How do you play Murder: Be the King?
Hold the action to prepare an assassination while approaching from behind, then release if the king looks back. After taking the throne, turn around at the right moment to catch the next attacker.
Is Murder: To Kill or Not to Kill the same game?
The alternate phrase is commonly used for the same one-button king-and-assassin timing game. This page uses the title Murder: Be the King.
Why does the assassin get caught?
The king caught the weapon raised during a look back. Release as soon as the turn begins, then wait for another safe opening instead of forcing the attack.
How do you survive longer as the king?
Watch the follower instead of turning at a fixed rhythm. The useful moment is when the attacker commits to raising a weapon, not simply whenever the character moves closer.
