In Matchman: War on Paper, your core goal is to command a stickman army to defeat all enemy forces on the hand-drawn paper battlefield, defend your base, and win epic war showdowns! In Stage Mode, fend off waves of enemies across levels to unlock new units step by step. For Endless Mode — unlocked after clearing key stages — survive as long as possible against endless enemy assaults and smash survival records. Earn coins from battles to upgrade your troops’ attack and HP stats, unlock diverse units like riflemen, artillerymen, and tanks, build an unbeatable army, and become the ultimate winner of the paper battlefield!

• Stage Mode and Endless Mode. Unlock Endless Mode by clearing 20 levels in Stage Mode!
• Tap unit icons to summon troops like riflemen, machine gunners, artillerymen, and tanks. Each unit has a fixed cost (e.g., riflemen cost 3 points) — spend in-game resources that regenerate over time to call forth an endless stickman army.
• Earn coins after battles to upgrade your troops’ attack and HP stats, boosting overall combat power.
• Unlock high-tier units by reaching specific levels (e.g., Level 30, Level 40) and add them to your tactical lineup.
• Defend against waves of enemies in each level. Achieve victory by eliminating all enemy units and protecting your base from being destroyed — failure occurs if your base is breached.

Controls

Tap unit icons (riflemen, machine gunners, mortars, tanks, etc.) at the bottom or left of the screen to select the corresponding troop. Click your desired deployment spot on the paper battlefield to summon the unit into combat — it will cost fixed points to deploy!

How to unlock Endless Mode?

Clear 20 levels in Stage Mode, and Endless Mode will be unlocked. In this mode, you’ll face non-stop waves of enemies and push your limits to survive as long as possible.

How to unlock troops?

Basic units like riflemen and machine gunners are available right from the start. Some high-tier units such as helicopters and tanks need to be unlocked by reaching specific levels (e.g., Level 30, Level 40) or fulfilling special conditions.

How to earn gold coins? Should I prioritize upgrading attack or HP?

Earn gold coins by clearing levels. It’s recommended to prioritize upgrading attack in the early stages — this lets you eliminate enemies quickly and expand your advantage. In the later stages, focus on boosting HP to increase your troops’ durability. Balanced attack and defense are the key to overcoming high-difficulty levels.
