How to Build Your Muscle Car

Muscle Car Builder starts with your base model selection. Each of the 8 cars has a distinct power band, weight distribution, and default gear ratio — choose the one that fits your racing style before you start modifying.

Modification Categories

Engine Tuning

From stock internals all the way to a Stage 3 race build with ported heads, custom camshaft, and solid lifters. Every engine modification changes your power curve — more horsepower doesn't always mean faster if you spin the tires.

Transmission & Gearing

Choose 3-speed manual, 4-speed close-ratio, or automatic with shift kit. Each has a different optimal RPM window. The 4-speed with a Hurst shifter gives the most control; auto is faster off the line for casual runs.

Tires & Suspension

Slicks maximize traction on the strip but kill street drivability. Bias-ply street tires look period-correct. The suspension tune affects launch hook — a soft rear helps transfer weight without breaking loose.

Visual Customization

Choose from 24 factory-correct paint colors (including Plum Crazy, Hemi Orange, Grabber Green), add racing stripes, hood scoops, and period-correct wheel styles. What you see is what goes down the track.
